A pathway to long-lasting relationships with yourself and others
Specializing in Trauma, Anxiety, Depression and Relationship Issues
Do you find relationships hard?
Do you often feel like the things happening inside of you get in the way of connecting with others? Or maybe you think “If I were just normal—if I could just act, feel, think differently then my relationships would be better.”
Working with me is an opportunity to build satisfying relationships without all the internal “stuff” getting in the way.
Together we can help you navigate a relationship that feels good while getting your needs met too.
Are you a caring friend to others but often your own harshest critic?
Do you have a lot of people who depend on you and think you have it “all together,” but inside you sometimes think they don’t really know you? Do you attend a lot more to others than to your own inner self?
You may think right now that the way through is to work harder, do more, and be better.
Working with me is an opportunity to turn down the internal self criticism and make room for other parts of yourself to arise.
Working with me will help you find permission to not produce, perform, or be perfect.
Do you feel sad, stuck, or lonely?
Do you find it hard to look inward or let others see what’s inside? Do you find your emotions overwhelming at times and just wish you could get away from them?
Perhaps you oscillate between high levels of anxiety and intermittent feelings of sadness, loneliness, or despair?
Do you distract yourself by staying busy, focusing on others, or working a lot?
Working with me is an opportunity to manage and understand your emotions better. Together, we will give the same quality of attention and care to what’s going on inside as you give to others.
Working with me is an opportunity to begin listening to and trusting the importance of your own thoughts and feelings.
Perhaps you’ve answered yes to one or more of these questions . . .
You are used to people depending on you. You know that people open up to you and often tell you they feel heard and understood. People think of you as “having it all together.” You know yourself as someone who works hard, stays busy, and even succeeds . . . a lot.
Yet, you feel something different inside. Perhaps even with all these people around you still sometimes feel alone, different, or even scared. Maybe you feel doubtful or unsure if people could really know about your feelings without turning away. Maybe you feel deeply embarrassed or ashamed about your thoughts and don’t often tell people what’s really going on inside. Possibly, with your capacity to be so open and supportive of others, you are often your own harshest critic and judge. It may be these difficult internal experiences that make it hard for you to be in relationships that matter, where you feel fully known . . and yet this may also be your deepest longing.
If you think you might be ready to be seen and heard, to enter into and keep relationships that matter....
